There’s only one way to make a CC Meet-Up happen: throw out a date and see who’ll come (or commit). I’m ready, willing and able to head out to Nashville on that weekend to see the Lane Motor Museum and maybe something else while we’re there. Who else can make it?
QOTD: Can You Make It To A CC Meet-Up In Nashville On June 18-19? (Update: I’ve Got My Ticket)
– Posted on April 19, 2016
Sounds promising. Count me in.
Normally I’d be there with bells on. But you all remember the woman I brought to the last CC meetup? Well, she and I are getting married on July 9! My dance card is quite full in the weeks leading up, as we get ready.
check it:
I’d heard you weren’t going to make it, but not why. Congratulations to you both. We’ll miss you…
Congratulations, Jim! I think the Lane may host weddings with notice….
Change of date and location then – Jim’s house, 9 July…;-)
Congratulations and best wishes to you both!
So awesome, Jim – congratulations to you and Margaret.
My fiance and I probably can. We should have the Mountain That Drives back on the road and reliable enough by then.
It would be so nice to have a CC meetup somewhere in the Seattle area.
I agree. We need to for us Portland area people. Wouldn’t mind one even in Wilsonville at the World of Speed
It will probably be a last-minute decision for me depending on what’s going on that weekend.
I’d love to. I have not been to the Lane in a while.
I think so. A little further than Indiana but those dates could work…
It being Father’s Day weekend makes it much harder even though it’s only 6 hrs from SC for me. I’d really like to meet and thank you and the other contributors who have made this website such an absolute joy.
On second thought, accompanying me on this little trip would make an excellent present from my teenage daughter. Hmmmmm…. tricky.
I wish I could, Paul. Enjoy Nashvegas, if you’ve never been there you’ll find the area where the live Country Music takes place to be quite small…just a few blocks around Broadway over to around the Ryman.
But it’s a charming area. Much to see and do and you don’t have to be a Country fan to enjoy it. Many different styles of music are made and celebrated in Music City.
Count me in.
Ditto.
I’ve been delinquent at CC for far too long, and this is only a 2-hour flight away. Count me in. While I can’t bring a CC of my own to the event, not owning a car at the moment (pretty much doubles the rent living in Manhattan), it would be quite the 34th birthday present (6/20) to meet some of the CC folks and see a Tatra 603 in person. That’s a car I’ve wanted to see since high school, and still never have.
I will be passing through Nashville on my 2000 mile road trip from North Texas to Maine. We’re it couple weeks earlier, I could make it part of the trip but alas, I doubt it will come to be.
Argh, if only one were held in the northeast, the Ninety-Eight and I would journey to it. Have fun!
I thought some of our Northeastern guys were putting something together in the Boston area. Brendan and . . . . ?
Brendan posted a nice article about an Imperial convertible back on April 7 (see https://www.curbsideclassic.com/curbside-classics-american/car-show-outtake-1962-imperial-crown-convertible-coupe-for-those-who-want-attention-and-exclusivity/). The photos were taken at the Endicott at the Bay State Antique Auto Club’s antique auto show, held annually at the Endicott Estate in Dedham, MA. I suggested a meetup at this year's event on July 10, time and place TBD. Maybe one of the editors (Brendan, I'm looking at you) needs to start a thread for this as I don't know how to get this kind of ball rolling.
I’m going to lobby Paul on the wonders of the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor. You don’t get much more northeast than that!
No I cannot.
Dang, over 14 hours each way is too far to drive. Father’s Day weekend isn’t going to fly both literally and figuratively.
I am hoping to go to Mosport for the vintage racing festival on the 18th with my son and nephew though..

If anyone can make it to Memphis I’d encourage you to do so, we had a great time in Auburn at the last CC meetup.
Put me down as a definite maybe. Nashville is only about 3 hours from my house so the trip would be no problem. The issue will be convincing management that we need to go to Nashville so I can spend the weekend hanging out with people I “know” through the Internet. We shall see.
Very well put! I’m in the same boat, but since Nashville is 650 mi. away from here, it’s probably a bit more of a struggle for me. It’ll likely end up being a last-minute decision.
It’s not as if everyone there will be a complete stranger. 😉
Too far for me. I’ll stay here in Eugene. 😀
It’s great museum, you will all appreciate it!
A treasure trove of (imported) curbside classics!
Not quite 9 hours for me…hmmm. I might be able to swing it. That’s a heck of a drive, but not outlandish.
Pity it’s not a month earlier–work will have me in Hopkinsville, Kentucky for the entire month of May. That’s not even an hour from Nashville. But there is a 0% chance that assignment will end later than May 31.
Perhaps some of the authors can host a local CC event? It could be sort of a one off cars and coffee meetup. Heck we could even meet at cars and coffee. I’m in Oakland, CA and would love to meet some of the contributors and readers.
Ironic – I just returned from a business trip to Nashville on Saturday (but had no time to see the auto museum). And I’ll be in NYC during the meet-up. Have fun and give us some pictures and a write-up. I recommend consideration of the Nethercutt Museum and Collection for a potential West Coast visit:

I, unfortunately, can’t make this one. This weekend is sandwiched between two mini-vacations I had scheduled. Looking forward to the write-up and pictures.
I’m an hour from Nashville and would love to attend.
I need to make a trip to Advanced Plating anyway and currently have no greater pressing plans. Count me in and keep up posted. 😀
