It’s a Fendt alright, but because it was so far away I couldn’t read the model designation on the side of its hood. Judging by its looks it’s a 25 to 30 year old 300-series 2WD. Fendt, founded in 1930, is a German manufacturer of farm tractors and other agricultural machinery. In 1997 all shares were sold to the AGCO-Group. Other AGCO tractor brands are Challenger, Valtra and Massey Ferguson.
In Motion Classic: Fendt Dually – Preparing The Soil

Nice. The field corn is about 2″ (50mm) high all around us now, and farmers are planting soybeans now. My alfalfa field is coming in nicely – the alfalfa itself is quite small, and what you see are the oats I planted as a nurse crop. I used my Boomer 8N and a John Deere drill to plant the field.
Here’s the drill:
Wow, someone actually bought one of those Boomers! I thought that drill looked a little large for the tractor at first, but then I remembered we pulled an International drill about the same size for years with a JD 2510 that’s about the same HP.
We’re in the middle of corn, not even started beans yet. It’s been so wet that if we get another rainy week, the hay will be ready to cut before the end of the month!
Yep, it’s a nice stablemate to my ’50 8N!

I just finished painting the upgraded model Ed but in Fergy not Ford all 35 hp of it
Heres the Fergy equivalent Ed #16555 off the 1947 assembly line still with continental engine bellhousing this is one of the first Fergy TEA18s with the Standard engine, mint and apart from a trade in paint job some 50 years ago original, it should be grey all over as it predates the Massey Harris merger by several years.
Nice looking Fergy! What’s the body shell in the background?
Here’s how I’ve drilled in the past – that’s a (formerly) horse-drawn Van Brundt – John Deere drill on steel.
Is drilling another way to say tilling?
No, drilling is how you plant grasses and alfalfa. The drill does have discs on it, but they only scratch open a shallow row into which the seed drops, and drag chains pull soil back on top.

Thank you for the information.
Body shell behind the grey Fergy is an absolutely complete 1927 Humber 14/40 sedan likely the only one in NZ the wood framing rotted away.
Good work, good work.
I also enlarged your second picture and noticed that the name of the John Deere dealership is Arends. Here’s another Mr. Arends who’s familiar with the brand. Of course you know all ins and outs of the trailer load.
Absolutely! In fact, I designed the branding decals on the side of the 320D!
Saw a couple of ancient John Deeres while carting grapes this year there are a couple of real relics still towing loading gondolas around here, and another real oldie towing a carrot gondola, if they still run they get worked round here.
