The caption ? Standard models don’t really come with 21 inch wheels – you wouldn’t be able to drive it on any proper roads with wheels that big unless you went very slowly or carried several spares.
I don’t think regenerative brakes are any good for emergency stops, so the car needs disc brakes as well – and it needs big ones because it is a heavy car.
This gets my vote. The caption says the “wheels with massive regenerative brakes” are among its most distinctive features. Obviously there are not regenerative brakes on the wheels, but the regular brakes are indeed distinctive.
Photos by Magnus Walker? He’s a former clothing/fashion guy that has an amazing Porsche collection. Guess they asked him for some additional pics or pulled them off his social media?
You can’t see regenerative brakes. The motor and associated electronics provide the regeneration. And is it just me or do the rear wheels appear to be splayed out like an old swing axle car with sacked springs?
That the sign post looks like a gigantic car antenna. Perhaps it’s the bent over pedestrian that appears photoshoped into a false rumble seat. Googling “California Cheese Grater Museum” pulled up the image below. I’m stumped.
Also, is there a section of the building where it’s cantilevered over the walkway and road as shown above the Porsche? In the pic DoAndroids posted above, the exterior walls are vertical, not leaning over at a 60 degree angle
The whole image appears to be a google street view as rendered by an obsolete web browser.
22 inch wheels on a car. Huh. At what point will they just glue some rubber to the rim and call it a day. In this case it’ll leave more room for massive regenerative brakes. 😈

You mean other than being a couple of pieces of ribbed body cladding from looking like a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am?
JPC wins comment of the day!
You’re being unfair. They don’t look anything alike with the super-premium 67″ wheels.
Those brakes in the picture are normal disc brakes? I think regenerative braking happens in the motor.

The “massive” brakes alluded to (and pictured) are not regenerative at all. They are just plain old brakes.
Regenerative braking is accomplished by reversing the motor and using it as a generator.

I believe he is dating Hannah Elliott, who writes about cars for Bloomberg. That might clarify that some.
My guess is the brake calipers are reversed, picture altered?
The car appears warped or distorted bow to stern, which may indicate PhotoShop or camera lens distortion.
It has been taken with a very wide-angle lens.

It’s a Porsche with a nearby crowd and not one person notices?
Oh come on, everyone knows that Porsche only makes 2-door cars.
*ducks*
.
There’s a spurious comma after the word “optional” in the caption. Also, regenerative braking is not a physical thing that can be “massive”.
No, but regenerative brakes can be.
Well the regen braking is done via the motor(s) and the battery pack and that battery pack could be considered massive.
I looked at those wheels and (I guess) brake calipers and thought the car had been booted for a parking violation.
It has the “running mascara” look of a recent generation of Camry. Seems odd for Porsche to ape THAT look.
The building behind the car is really ugly. Looks like a cheese grater or a rare skin disease.

Something’s off with the alignment of the rear wheels, the camber or toe-in or some such…
The photo hides the recessed section in the building where the window is. Just looks weird like the glass is just floating there.

The car appears to lack depth, as though it were split down its center line.
It may just be a bad Photoshop job, where the photo of the car was taken from a different angle than the photo of the building.
Dunno. A poncy if pokey Porsche parked perfectly, perforce, poised for a picture before a pale pock-marked pretentious piece, perhaps?
