I must be very wrong if it isn’t a Volkswagen Bus or Panel Delivery Wagon T2, I know these wheelcaps sine my childhood, an the rear bumper is so familiar to me…
It’s pretty obvious with that familiar German breadbox shape, with just enough radius around in its bends to give it that distinctive appearance known around the world. You don’t even have to see the oversize round emblem in front center to know this is the unmistakable 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190 bus.
Which one though? Series II (or whatever the second kind with the curved windshield was called) as suggested above. You can tell by the curve over the windshield instead of a straight line farther down.
The joke answers were humorous though.
I was looking for something else but these old VW cross sections fascinated me as a kid and they’re still pretty cool.
Maybe it’s one of those Brazilian in-betweeners that have the curved bay windows (and large taillights) from a late T2 but the rest of the bus is like a late-’50s or early-’60s T1. complete with barn doors on the side and wraparound windows in back.
Mmm, some interesting suggestions above, but nothing that quite hits the target. I mean it can be none other than a stretched Subaru Sambar kei bus with a VW Kombi kit!
A loaf of bread
Easy, that has to be a Pontiac Fiero with some sort of bodykit ^^
It is clearly one of those early streamlined trucks.
One is not a streamlined truck.
Just based on the headline I assumed it would be a Beetle. Yet this is perhaps even more obvious.

A third-generation Corvette, without a doubt. However, the owner also covered the carport in which the ‘Vette is residing.
VW bus..early 70’s (Gen II)
It appears to be a blancmange, but it forgot its tennis racquet.

A DKW F89 L with a VW Bus look-alike conversion kit and a Tatra. V8 engine
1969 Daytona. Duh….
“You know, these old VW Microbuses are becoming rather valuable. Perhaps you should put a cover on it so no one will know what’s underneath…”.
Something that will rust quickly if its stay-fresh wrapper is removed!
That’s got to be the easiest car cover to tailor.
A Matador ?
I was gonna say a Chrysler 300K, but now I’m leaning more towards a ’71 Ford LTD.
After all, I would think that Paul would want to stop a shoot his favorite car, even if it is all covered up. 😉
Looks like a mini-version of a GM – Parade of Progress wagon to me.
VW van
You win! Congratulations. I was beginning to worry that nobody would identify it.

wrong, get your eyes checked k
I was reminded of the “Friend’s” episode where Joey had a car cover over a bunch of Porsche shaped boxes. One of my favorite episodes.
A 1974 Travco 220 😜
VW Bus with front mounted spare tire…
Lamborghini Countach hearse (with the coffin on an enclosed roof rack).
Paul Bunyan’s 50’s Toastmaster toaster
A huge loaf of Wonder Bread with VW wheels attached.
