I saw this Tercel go by me on the freeway, so I just had to nab it. I tried to get a better shot after we got off, but it just didn’t happen. But I did crop the little traffic jam on her bumper into two close-ups, and I’m sure you all will give us the full rundown.
Here’s the left side, a bit blurred from the rain. Ooh; love that truck tractor…
This side is a bit better. We wouldn’t want to make it too easy…but click on the pictures for maximum size, if you need.
I can ID a Hot Wheels burgundy Citation on the left (behind the white limo), a Majorette Porsche 924 in front of the COE thing, and on the extreme right, a Lesney Opel Diplomat from the ’60s, missing its hood. I have all three myself, the Citation is from my childhood.
Yep, you nailed the three I was going to identify. The missing hood on the Lesney Diplomat was a common problem. I have quite a few of them now, including a Superfast version.
The Opel Diplomat was a highly prized rarely seen sought after car 30+ years ago.I only ever saw a white one parked next to my Vauxhall Cresta PC at an autojumble (swapmeet)
That is one use for a big impact bumper I guess. A lot of those are generic fantasy type Hot Wheels. That brown one on the end looks a bit older.
That is a neat idea…if your bumper is black it works out quite well. i cant see them well enought to make positive i.d’s.
Hah. Me and my roommate followed this car to Guitar Center this past Sunday. Thought of CC immediately, but didn’t have my camera on me or I would have had you scooped.
From the left, I see a Ferrari, Datsun Z, 959/928?, no clue on the purple car, generic super-car mashup, Citation?, Chrysler 300 limo?, no clue on red truck or flame car, WTF?, 928, no idea, Pagani Huayra, Ford GT, Corvette, no clue, cool looking black semi, no clue, Mustang, smashed cricket, boxtruck, funny car, no clue, a dog turd, no clue, another dog turd, and a Valiant.
Oh, and the front bumper is done up the same.
This is cool. I’m amazed that they all don’t roll/fall off.
As a collector of such small cars, I must say that it’s a good idea, but the driver should have used all generics and fantasy cars. And I hate to see that Citation go to waste like that. The Hot Wheels, yatming and Fast 111’s versions are rare and hard to find.
I see a Deora II behind that yellow car behind the Diplomat. And two Audi Avus quattros. Neat!
