It’s Halloween, so we’ll give ourselves permission to look at people in costumes for a change, and not just cars. The Germans, along with so many other Europeans, have long had a major crush on big Detroit Iron. They even have their own calendar, shot right in Germany (the locomotives in the background were the giveaway). The theme for 2012 is “Rockabillie”, which along with the misspelling is a bit challenging as a girly calendar theme. Refreshingly, the models aren’t from the the predictable Barbie-turns-pole dancer mold. Of course, it’s no Pirelli calendar either, but it is perfectly SFW. Nice cars too.

If you want to buy one, they’re available only direct from the photographer, for €12.90. Here’s the address henryhund.de
And if that isn’t enough to satiate you, here’s the link to another one, Girls & Legendary Cars, by a different photographer. A wee bit earthier.
I know a little about railroad locomotives, though (thankfully) not as much as a real railfan. I’m pretty sure that dark shape behind Miss February never ran on US tracks. Oh, and I guess that the billboard lettering in November is an even stronger clue.
Who will be the first with the next got calendar idea: German Cars and Girls?
It was the legendary Series 01 streamlined steam locomotive in February that tipped me off. Used to lust after one of those in HO scale by Marklin.
I’ve heard “Model Railroader” referred to as a porno magazine.
+1 Mike! I have feelings for old Lionel catalogs comparable to Paul’s for Marklin.
And: pinuppage.blogspot.com
Nope, it never did. There were some streamlined steam locomotives in this nation; most looked nearly as bad as that one; but the buffers on the pilot are a dead giveaway: The United States has used locking knuckle-action couplers with anti-climb shelves, for nearly a hundred years.
No, I’m not a railfan. I WORK on the @#%&! railroad…five different ones, actually, since I’m a bit of a “boomer.”
The first photo is a knockout!
(Oh, and the girl’s not bad either.)
Oh…yeah. The cars look…good. The girls, too, mostly…even the hippy ones. Being of German extraction, I can forgive that…even secretly enjoy it.
But I wish they’d left the ones with the tats, at home.
Love it, you guys could try this site too. http://pin-up-love.tumblr.com/ Of course it’s NSFW.
The pre skeleton era very good.
Never thought the Edsel could look that good. I guess all it needs is the right setting.
And she certainly knows right where to lick…
WTH is going on in the April photograph? A car? Towing a trailer?
The Germans also love David Hasselhoff (with apologies to Norm McDonald from his SNL days).
I think Ms. April should have been included in our discussion of the ’62 Sky Chief’s ample mmmm, ah, junk in the trunk. Sorry but this is how the latin in me manifests itself.
Love the full figured German girls more than the cars!
Amen, brother 🙂
Going back to your root, eh Paulie?
Good to see the box Town Car get some respect. I need that grille. Note the missing turn signal lens (they’re all like that.)
Jeez… i can’t keep my eyes off that March pic…..who doesn’t like a little girl on girl action???? hehe
The picture of May with the mid-1980s Lincoln Town Car, I wonder if the movie “the Lincoln Lawyer” had some influence? 😉
April and June are my favorites months… so much growth springing up!
September is my favorite month for a whole new reason!
