I’d say it is a good possibility, the website mentions Valvoline and NGK as sponsors and those are present on the featured rig. Not that those are uncommon sponsorships.
I shared this photo on the Facebook Peterbilt History page and asked about this Model 352’s provenance. I’ll update here if I learn anything interesting.
Something else that really stands out is the front step that normally right behind the front tire is relocated to the rear portion of the cab. I guess this makes exiting the cab an interesting proposition as the dog house is probably still there.
The original Peterbilt Model 352 steps, one on the front of the battery box, and two recessed in the cab side, are still in place (along with the grab rail). The rear ladder doesn’t appear to be a Peterbilt ladder; perhaps from a Freightliner.
Sumptuous accomodation for the crew, be great to have some interior photos. These posts remind me if those trucking magazines from the 1970’s that’d do the rounds at school with a centrefold ‘Rig of the Month’. Thanks for posting man.
Looks like a gear jamming delight. Roaring 8V-71, rumbling 855 Cummins or a rattling Cat and probably all running thru a Fuller 13 speed tranny. Nice looking rig.
Freightliner offered a crew cab cab-over, sleeper and all in the early 70’s. I have never seen a similar Peterbilt cabover though. Wonder if the truck was ‘factory’ or converted by someone.
I wonder if this is the same Hitchman racing?

Regardless beautiful rig!

Cool looking truck, wonder if it still exists?

Cool truck. It must be fun to tilt the cab in a service bay!

the relocated step is because of the second door on that side. . there are still steps to access the front door..
