Werklust translating to pretty much “desire to work” isn’t a phrase I normally associate with Citroens.
Ok, that was rude and more than a little stereotypical, the C6 has aged quote well, although I still get very strong Audi C5 A6 vibes from it. The XM though, so rectangular and yet all angles, love it too.
My favorite German equipment brand is Pisten Bully. Snow groomers which are quite common in the US. We just bought a Liebherr refrigerator, which I hadn’t heard of, but availability was good compared to many of the more common brands.
The C6 is such a sweet car. I got to drive one full of engineers—briefly, late at night, while I was severely jetlagged—near Paris in 2006. I counted it (and still do) as one of the nice things we can’t have in North America because…um…
We can’t have them because nobody bought them here when we could have. I say this as someone who put over 100K on a Simca, so I have some French car cred I believe, but they just weren’t what people here wanted, myself and possibly you excepted. Really, they just didn’t translate well.
C6!

The perfect company/brand name for a manufacturer of construction machinery (of yore). Well, in its homeland anyway.
I’ll certainly grant you that, but…eh…I’m kinda partial to a different brand in that space:
…
1.) What is that thing?
2.) Is that the same Liebherr that makes refrigerators?
1.) A giant of a tracked excavator, I’d say.
2.) Yes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liebherr

When equipment no longer wants to work…
Perfect!!
The C6 feels like the last real Citroën to me, in part because it was the last with the awesome hydropneumatic suspension.
The second gen C5 was also available with hydropneumatic suspension (Hydractive III). Its European production run ended in March 2017.

…I donno, freedom or something.

Fair enough, but I was referring to the North American market.
Funkengruven!
Zum Wohl!
C6, final answer, I think. Just love the style, over the XM.
