What’s funny is I believe only two of the cars in the picture were actually built in the US, one of them being the Mitsubishi! Ram and Fusion are from Mexico and the Minivan is from Canada, right?
If that is a Caravan and not a Grand Caravan it could be under 4,000 Lbs. However, my 03 Caravan is a stripper and weighs in at 3,700 Lbs so I am sure if it had all the bells and whistles it could easily top 4,000 Lbs.
If that Eclipse manages to stay in what appears to be unmolested daily driver condition it may become a CC sooner than you think. Too many of these get the fart can/STi-style wing treatment.
To me as somebody from Europe it is the Eclipse that stands out. First. And then I notice the Fusion which looks blander and even less American than the Eclipse.
Wow, what a stunner and one of my all-time favorites (and I do mean the ’66 Bonneville)! The bumper though looks like it got crunched in the center. And was that shade of green a factory color (I think not)?
Also one of my favorites, except the color. It could be Palmetto Green, with a digital camera color problem or a respray that is a little off the mark.
Only the Poncho has a v8, the Ram has an inline 6, the van has v6, the Fusion could Have either a v6 or an inline 4 as well the Mitsu. Also the Poncho has 4 plus decades on everything else!
I’m reasonably sure the big Pontiacs in the U.S. still used 14-inch wheels in 1966. It was a trend that started in earnest in 1957 as a quick way to achieve the “lower” in the era of “longer, lower, wider.”
If I remember correctly, only Cadillac and the big Buicks (B- and C-bodies) never went below 15 inches in wheel diameter.
Yep, that dark coloured car sticks out like a sore thumb against all those light coloured ones.

Yes, the Dodge / Ram does have a much higher GVW.
It’s also the only one with a diesel engine. 🙂
I guess there’s a possibility that the small bus way in the background has a diesel too.
Could be one of those Missouri built Caravans/Town and Countrys who knows. Nice looking Pontiac, I love the color.
That Poncho is the twin of one I looked at to buy in Tassie exceptthe one I was keen on was a Cheviac instead of the real thing 283/glide.
I think the Mitsu may be the only one that weighs under 4,000 pounds. Is that what you’re looking for?
I think that 1963 and 1966 may be the two years with the best styling when averaged across the entire industry in the US.

I have not seen a Mitsu Eclipse in years.
The weight of one car equals the combined weight of the other two?!?!?
the pontiac is green?
I’m not sure what your are driving at. Somehow it reminds me of the high school parking lot when I was teaching and my 57 was a DD.
Think of this photo as a sort of Curbside Rorschach Test…
The Bonneville has more style and panache than every other vehicle combined.
I agree completely, but that’s the gimme answer. 🙂
Only one car with round headlights in glass. Sealed beam.
No front number plate, but fenderskirts.
The total fuel consumption of all but the Pontiac combined is less than the Pontiac alone?
Ouch!
The Pontiac is the only one that is a true Curbside Classic; the others are contemporary automobiles.

For long roof fans, see this version of the Pontiac:

That google shot was taken years ago, but the car remains in that exact spot today!
The work truck is the one that’s different. It’s the only one that isn’t a passenger vehicle

Just a guess here. I think that 66 may be a Canadian / Cheviac/ Parisienne. They look like 14 inch wheels?????
