Here is a sample of the stuff I see everyday on route
here lol
amazing!
Interesting; fastback, your reply to that Checker posted by Michael is exactly to the day one year later. Coincidence?
Hi Paul, can you give me a call? I saw your pic of the Snorkasaurus 1. My name is Ronnie Mezich and I owned the Snorkasaurus III a 63 Dodge 330 lightweight. I have lots of pics of all 4 of Doyle Barnes cars. thanks 425 424 0453
Hi Paul – Do you have any pictures of a 1965 Olds Cutlass Convertible that was a special run of Red, White, and Blue color combo? I owned one that the original owner had purchased for himself when he graduated from the Air Force Academy. It was white with a black top when I bought it. Thanks, Rich Colorado Springs, Colorado
Hello Paul,
I’m on a bucket list quest to publish a book on the American performance V8. I’d like to include two photos I’ve come across on your site……. one is the mid 1960’s Cadillac V12 at the GMHC that I suspect is your photo. The other is a side shot of a black 1957 Studebaker Hawk.
Can you help me out by consenting to my use of these photo?
Thanks, Kellen S, Victoria, BC, Canada
I already replied to your earlier request here. But I’ll send you a private email.
intrested in your car please send me cost,CIF Freetown/Sierra Leone West Africa
Spotted this base model “Oldsmobile sucking on a Lemon” on the way home from my golf club.
Of course there are many similarities between the futility of my golf and the poor sales of the Edsel. (’58 Ranger 4dr)
lol
I saw this on the link with all the rusting piles of junk,. I don’t know what kind of car this is. Maybe some kind of Mopar?
The trunk badge and general shape of the back end look like a 1962 full-sized Plymouth, but the tail lights don’t look like any I’ve ever seen. Maybe a Canadian-market Plymouth or Dodge?
1959 Bonneville taillights grafted onto 1962 Fury
Ha! You nailed it. What an odd mix – well, it’s definately odd to see a ’62 Plym with custom body work.
Looks like a 1961 Plymouth with 1959 Pontiac Bonneville rear lights.
In your travels, might you run across junk yards that have old stuff? I need hubcaps for a second series ’55 Chevy pickup, 3/4 ton. The 3/4 ton ’56s are the same. The 1/2 tons’, of which there are plenty, are smaller…..won’t work!
Thanks for any suggestions, Dan
62 Plymouth with possibly 59 Pontiac taillights. The Plymouth had 2 or 3 depending on model.
I have several pictures of this perfectly rusted 1950 Chevy that lives up the street from me. If you’d like feature them, or just see them, let me know. Also let me know what size in pixels you’d like them. Here is a sample:
You can post them to our CC Cohort Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1648121@N23/pool/ or if you’d like to write something about this truck, send the text and pictures (800 pixels max. width) to me at the contact form above. PN
Hi Paul,
I don’t know a lot about the truck or owner, but it lives just up the block from me. It is gone a lot so I know it is a daily driver. I rarely see anything so perfectly rusted without being rusted through (and is that lichen, mold, some kind of deep sea encrustation?) .
I know several guys who would like to achieve this effect on their rat-rods but I guess it’s difficult or expensive to do. I’m not a paint and body guy so I don’t know.
Anyway, since it kind of unique (and I love the business name) I wanted to share it with you and the gang.
Feng
PS Do you have an email where I can send more than one photo at a time? I don’t want post seven times here in the contact form … unless that’s ok with you.
On the CC Flickr page; I gave you the link above. It’s also on our menu bar. That’s the place to post found CCs, not here. Nobody except me will see it here.
What a tremendous pain in the ass to try to share a few photos. So many steps … I did it anyway.
Feng
Sorry. I didn’t mean to complain, I’m just having a rough day health-wise and every little thing is an effort and puts me in a foul mood. I do apologize. I added 7 photos of the 1950 rustbucket to the CC pool. It will be much easier next time as all the google, to yahoo, to flicker, to posting, to sharing account setting up is done.
Found a 34 Terraplane today its up on the cohort page
Optional Wheels
Hello, How much this car Can you tell me,please ?
Regards
Shot an Aussie Falcon for ya Paul and a nice driveway collection you might like Im now Bryce 1980 my account evaporated from flikka keep up the great work.
The Targa Tour road rally of NZ finished in Hawkes bay today Ive shot some cars for the cohort page sorry about the lack of new Lamborghinis and Ferraris I dont have enough camera memory and I had to delete the modern stuff to fit the little Fiat Abarth and a nice Dodge Monaco parked outside
Another good day for the cohort page ,found 2 HQ Kingswoodwagons and a tidy MGA. Wikipedia has asked for access to those Camira pics I uploaded ,we are being monitored, did you know?
Hallo!
Maybe someone knows, what’s the model of the car I added here?
It’s supposed to be some coupe from the mid- late 70s, thanx 🙂
Looks like a 1976 Chevy Impala to me!
Definitely a 1976 LeSabre Buick.
From the brochure …
http://www.mclellansautomotive.com/literature/items/buick/b39027-buick-1976-brochure.php
It is a 1975 or 76 Buick Le Sabre coupe I know my dad is a Buick and Cadillac man so am I
Howdy, i love old cars and i love your blog! Hey, i heard Charles De Lint playing music in Seattle the other night, and really liked this song about his old, family truck… thought you might like it too! http://www.sfsite.com/charlesdelint/music-oldbluetruck01.htm
Thanks, I added a link to it in my Ford truck post!
Put some shots from the art deco weekend up. Its hard to get good shots amongst the people.
Oops… I tried submitting this at the top by accident..
I’m not sure if I like this or not, I’m leaning toward like.
The Disappearing Car Door.

Im going to Paraparaumu again this weekend for their open day free entry to people who turn up in a classic car so Im hoping for a well stocked carpark for the Cohort
Got some photos for the cohort Paul from Southwards open day first time Ive seen a Cord in pieces or heard a supercharged Mercedes revved out or for that matter a 1896 Benz running and revved up my tired little Briggs and Statton sounds smooth compared and less smoke but talking with the guy who gets to play with the collection and drive them all worth the trip alone. Hope yall enjoy my photographic efforts.
Shot some cars again today told the owners if they were there where to find the photos most seemed quite interested in the site Paul so you may see more hits from NZ Met the owners of the yellow Cresta they were very happy to know about CC and asked if you allow comments
The owner of the XL Falcon is going to visit the site and there should be a couple of cars there to intrigue you I hope and get you thinking Paul.
Since y’all ripped on the ’67 Thunderbird, why don’t you take a poke at my other classic car! My ’75 Pontiac Grand Am! Let’s see what JP can conjure up here! I am sure you will diss this one every bit as much as my other car! At least I can say I DON”T own “Belly Button Cars” ie. a Camara, A Chevelle, a Mustang a Corvette ad nauseum! Go for it my friend and I will see you in the reply section!
Well, John, if I come across one I would be delighted to write something on it. When I was in high school, my mother owned a 74 Luxury LeMans sedan. I have always considered it the best looking of all of the colonade sedans. Although the Pontiac 350 with the 2 barrel carb was better at sucking gas than it was at motivating the car, the car was actually a very good handling package. Don’t ask me how I know. 🙂
The great thing about CC is that all of the authors and contributors here call them how they see them. Any given car will hit different people different ways. A car that gives one guy nostalgic warm fuzzies will get another guy’s dander up. It looks like you have a really nice Pontiac there. Maybe you could even submit a “My Curbside Classic” for the rest of us to enjoy. Anyhow, we are glad to hear from you.
John, I love 67-69 Thunderbirds, especially the suicide 4 door (I had a 64 T-Bird ‘vert). The 73-75 Grand Am was hot, especially with a 455. A cross between a GTO and Grand Prix.
Thanks Timmm! Glad someone else here has some “taste” and intelligence! If I got another ’67-’69 Glamour Bird, I want a Triple Black ’69 Fordor! They look real sinister in all black! Remind me of the what the Green Hornet ‘should have’ driven LOL!
My Grand Am is the 400 but it is a four barrel and I ripped the Malaise Era exhaust off from the manifold back and installed a 3″ “X” Pipe system with Flowmasters! Topped off by a set of Trans Am Chrome splitters exiting behind each wheel. How she should have been built! I did run across a 1973 455 Sunroof Car a couple years ago. It was in decent shape- def worth restoring!
Thanks againg for the appreciation of something that isn’t another Camaro, Mustang or Corvette!
How do I contribute an article? I tried using the CONTACT INFO above but the word count is too short. I did a walk around “Curbside Classic Tour” of a 4 block area in my San Diego neighborhood. This Merc has been sitting on the street or in the alley for the last 12 years. I found several black plate cars. A nice mix of old cars.
Timmm55; are your still interested? I never noticed this comment. You should send me an e-mail via the Contact form, and I’ll give you the particulars.
Paul
From what I’ve read, a few of you seem to travel a lot and come across some rare vehicles. I’ve been looking for a particular truck for many, many years now and have not even come close to finding one. I believe they were made back in Ohio? in the early to mid 30’s. They were semi tractors and the name on them was Relay. The company also had one called the Continental I believe. Anyway, any information or pictures of the Relay would be great. The truck is pretty sharp looking but the really interesting thing about them is they had two engines and two transmissions. Can’t for the life of me imagine how they could work but apparently they, at least for a few years anyway. So all you motor vehicle nuts, help a guy out if you can. Thanks!
Discovering your site now. Wow… I could be part of your team especially for 80’s-90’s cars. Did collect up to 6000 car brochures in the past. It’s fun sometime to compare USA and Canadian specs for the same car. Feel free to ask. I could be your Canadian connection 🙂
Seb G
Yes, I’m interested. Send me an e-mail using the Contact form, or at curbsideclassic@gmail.com
Saw my mate with the White truck Paul but I cant find the article to add more useless information, what about a search facility?. Yes I have couple of photos somewhere I go there a lot he has a restored Fergusson 35 petrol he want me to paint and its diesel Ford cousin a Dexta and earlier fordsons and stationary engines and Hillmans and a boxcar of old fones he has some cool shit.
His White is a 1ton truck same as the equivalent car that year 4 banger but the radiator is isolated from the chassis in shock absorbers now hows that for a clever innovation way back when
Sorry to be a pest just thought a little site search thing coulda been an idea and I coulda put that where the brotherhood would see it.
Bryce, for god’s sake, use the frigging “Search by Google” which is on the upper right side of the page, just below the header. It’s been there since day 1. Just enter a few key words, and it will search all the CC files. It works like a charm; In use it all the time to find old articles.
Do you get your e-mail? I’ve written you several times, but you never respond. Bryce, you need a proper PC and step into the 21st Century.
Yeah the PC problem is being worked on my BIL is making one access to email is patchy.
New email new flicka account I’ll try again
Ok Paul up and running again check the cohort some food for thought for the team.

A fantastic CC wagon is for sale in Washington.
1979 Impala, one owner and 96,xxx miles.
At $3500 she’s a deal and a half too.
Just uploaded a bunch of photos to the Cohort of a 1988 BMW 325i E30 for this seeming BMW streak. The car has an interesting history, seeing as how it’s an Arizona car brought to West Virginia and registered with Ohio Plates. It’s an American-market convertible with fuel injection. Yes. Fuel injection. Anyways, the car’s in good shape for how old it is and would make a worthwhile CC.
Hi Paul,
If you ever need pictures I have tens of thousands of original images I’ve made that you are welcome to use. If you are interested let me know what kind cars or theme you are working on and I’ll see what I can find.
I would direct you to my site but its down for the time being, it was hacked bad and will take some time to repair.
Keep up the good work
Larry
P.S. Will this Suburban qualify for Wagon Week?
Anyone know a good place to find 1937 International pickup parts? Need an oil pump. Fenders, tailgate, little stuff like that.
thank you
Hello, do you know this bus? I mean the history of the model or the history of the bus because somebody told me that this bus came to Venezuela from NewYork.
It’s a Prevost LeMirage. Prevost is a Canadian manufacturer. The LeMirage came out in 1976 and was built for a very long time, until not that long ago. This one looks like it’s from the late 70s or 80s, but it’s hard to tell. Undoubtedly it came from NY, since it says “Buffalo” on the destination sign.
Paul and others,
Thanks again for Toyota Week. I enjoyed all of the entries!
I hope you’ll consider a Honda Week at some point in the future (I don’t think you’ve done one, have you?). While Toyota has a longer reputation in the US and in Japan of car and truck production, they established their reputation in the US by building very dependable but conventional RWD vehicles. In contrast, Honda seemed to go for the niche market of FWD small cars, and they were exceptionally innovative in their early years in the US. In some ways, Toyota’s recent innovations have surpassed Honda’s (especially in hybrid technologies), yet Honda remains an interesting case study in juxtaposition to Toyota.
good day. but wanted to know if they have any product sale and purchase of classic cars. I’m from Argentina and I have in stock some classics that maybe can interest someone. and thanks in advance.
HI.
I have a 1958 300d and am looking for a supplier of a split boot kit for the differential swing axle. Do you know of a supplier for this part?
