“What is the ultimate Volkswagen van?” is a question that should inspire debate. A flower-power-painted hippy bus would be the answer to some. A Samba tour bus with its many windows and giant sunroof would the answer to others. A Westfalia camper should be in the conversation, and this one spotted in Stockholm makes a strong case for them. Painted in Porsche Signal Yellow from the early 1970’s, lowered, and shod with Fuchs alloy wheels, it is a Porsche-inspired restoration that may or may not also have drivetrain enhancements, like the Samba with a 911 3.6 liter flat six and Fuchs wheels owned by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. It makes a stylish camper, and one hopes that it goes surprisingly quickly around a racetrack as well.

The ultimate Volkswagen van? It would be one that would walk all over the competition…
For me, the ultimate VW Bus would be the holy grail of VW buses, the 24-example Volkswagen T1 Transporter Auwärter Carlux, with a subaru flat 4 and some EMPI accessories, please.
For me a vw late bay window kombi with a full Subaru drive-train conversion 2.0 turbo engine and 5 speed reversed 2WD transmission some EMPI accessories, custom cab seats, interior, alloys cyclops light tuck mirrors ect
