It has been awhile since we have given you a clue to torment you. Congratulations to Kitalkki on a sharp eye which identified the Lotus. Maybe even two sharp eyes.
Here is another clue to test everyone’s mettle. Two hints – the vehicle is fuel injected and came in yellow. I am sure that you all can handle it from here.
I’m going to guess an 80’s vintage Eldorado…
’85 DeVille. In all its downsized gory, er, I mean, glory. 🙂
I was thinking an 80’s Ford Crown Victoria maybe an 83 0r 84.
’82-ish Chrysler Imperial. I might be wrong on the year, but I’m 99% sure on the Chrysler Imperial part.
I’m pretty sure it isn’t a Cadillac. The font of the letters was definitely a Mopar thing…they used the same font under all the “TURBO” K-car badges. And the little swoop you can see at the top is the bottom of the script “L” in IMPERIAL. I’m also fairly sure that the indent in the body and the side moulding match up with an ’81-83 Imperial. Only thing I’m not sure of is the color. I’ve never seen a yellow one, but I’ve seen sort of a creamy white one.
Not to mention there’s a pretty good story behind the EFI on these vehicles…
I agree on the 81-83 Imperial. My only disagreement is that the “little swoop you can see at the top” is the bottom of the “R”, not the “L”. This badge is on the front fender, right behind the front wheel.
It’s a Caddy that much I know for certain but they were used on a couple of years and models but since it is yellow then I’m going with a Deville of the 85-6 era. The reason I know for certain is I’ve got that same badge on the back of my Travelall, it needed something to proclaim it’s non-carb status and that style better matched the INTERNATIONAL badge back there than the Ford ones.
Boy do I feel like a fool, after all these Mopar guys insisting it was from an Imperial I went and looked at my T-all and the Caddy one just says “fuel injection”. It does however have that same style around the edges that made me get it since the International badge on my T-all has a very similar edge treatment.
I would agree on the ’85 Deville
The text isn’t futuristic enough to be a Ford. I remember that badge on my F-150 and it had a different font.
A 1985-86 F-Series or big Bronco with the 5.0 EFI.
Chrysler TC…………….. or Le Baron But I Think Yellow Indicates the TC
I think my 86 Turbo LeBaron Marc Cross Convertible had similar font to declare it was Fuel Injected
80’s Chrysler “woody” ‘vert?
79 Cadillac Eldorado, the chrome strip gives it away.
The font is wrong for a Cadillac “Fuel Injection” badge.
Yup that’s the one on my Travelall.
I’m thinking 1st gen panther…Town Car or Mark VI. Canary Yellow was a popular color where I grew up (Metro Detroit) on all domestic luxo-cars in the late 70s-Mid 80s.
Chysler LeBaron ?
half joking a MIrada or PlyMouth Caravelle, Tc by Maserati/chrysler, 85ish LeBaron
tc 1st ch, then lebaron
but i know i touched up that electronic fuel injection logo on my 86 turbo…
