We have gotten a little lax on the clues lately, but with Paul on vacation, well, things are running a bit slower than usual. So anyway, where was I . . . .
Oh yes – The Comet clue. I Miss Manzy got the ’64 Comet part right, but sort of crashed and burned on the Caliente part. Oh well – we are friendly and relaxed around here, so IMM will be declared the victor.
So now, another one for your perusal. Let’s try an interior clue this time. Any ideas? Speak up.
It’s in the back seat, and I’m guessing decade of the 1960s, I’m also guessing American but that’s about it. (FWIW, while Paul is on vacation are you answering the curbsideclassic@gmail.com address – JPCavanaugh?)
I believe that Paul is periodically checking the gmail account. I have had my hands full learning how to be a web site editor 🙂
I heard from Paul today, he was briefly someplace with very poor internet, just enough to check his email.
And now we’re all fully informed. 🙂
’66 Pontiac 2+2
66 Caprice rear seat speaker.
@ MikePDX…… Did Pontiac have a 2+2 in the USA. I wanted a 69 2+2 so bad it hurt, Dad wouldn’t co sign.
I think it started as an option package in 1964 on Catalinas. 1967 was the last year for the US-market 2+2.
Like Tom said, ’64 to ’67 in the US. That Canadian ’69 2+2 you wanted must be quite rare today.

All my Dad would co-sign on was a Pinto.
Is this louver week?
never mind the seat ribbing is wrong I thought it was a 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 Convertible
Lots of US cars had this center speaker grill configuration in the late 50s and 60s.
But I will profer that it’s GM.
Re: ’64 Comet.
Must be gettin’ old.I forgot that ALL the ’64 Comets used the same lower trunk
panel trim between the taillights, regardless of trim level. As to the current clue,I agree, rear seat speaker 1960’s GM.
