Just a few days ago, we posted a ‘65 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible found by Eric Clem at the Cohort. And here’s its nearby American partner. Or so I think. I’ve never been to Finland, but it appears to be around the same area. And aside from a few minor cosmetic issues, the model seems pretty original.
A 1964 Galaxie 500 drop top much like this already appeared at CC, so feel free to check out the link further below. Meanwhile, let’s see if the remainder of the summer brings some more surprises from Europe.

Good morning Rich, Yes, this photo was taken maybe a mile away from the Cutlass. For those who have been to Helsinki, this is right by the stone church (a church blasted out of rocks).
Been there! Didn’t see the Galaxie though, it was 10 years ago.
Looks like Olds? wheel covers. Def not from a ’64 Galaxie.
Agree. My Aunt Gert had a 1964 Galaxie 500 XL convertible, and the wheels had a “spinner” design in the center. Plus, the exhaust outlets are slanted. That was not the original look. But to see this huge car in the land of 1.55 Euro per liter for gas is amazing. I’ve been to Finland 5 times and have always rented a smallish car to save on gas.
The ragtop is not an XL. It lacks the extra gadget on the bodyside molding at the rear.
The same Galaxie, after it came home.
Still a good looking automobile all these decades later .
