Unfortunately we have had a spate of early flooding here, thanks to the Rock River and about a solid week of heavy rain. One of the results of this is many cars and trucks came out of hibernation to avoid the flood waters. Like this early Eighties F-150 with a snowplow attachment.
Lots of patina on this one, but I bet it still runs pretty good.
“Lots of patina”? All I see is ugly rust holes. Yukk! (there’s a bit of a difference between the two 🙂 )
Maybe we should do Rust Week, so I can take a week off 😉
That’s what I was thinking…this is even bad for PA. Head to NY or OH and it would fit right in!
Hey, it has patina AND rust 🙂 Just look at the difference between the front fender and the door. I thought the fender was off of another truck, but it’s not. It must have been parked with its nose sticking out for a LONG time!
Rust week? you do that now, after Ive dumped the rustiest 3B Minx on the planet, I tell ya it had that pickup beat hollow. One small point when holes appear its no longer patina.
Love those turbine(?) wheels. Wish I saw more of them around.
I’ve seen trucks here on the other side of the state still in heavy use with more rust. 🙂
Could submit more photos for a rust week by walking around in five minutes that you’d know what to do with. LOL!
I thought you were going to say the river went down and this is what turned up! 🙂
Eight lug wheels make this at least an F-250.
Yep–definitely at least a 250, if not a 350–the new 1980 models were the first by Ford to include a “normal,” 8′ bed regular cab F-350, as opposed to the earlier 70’s long-wheelbase models.
