I’ll skip the Austin Powers Mini, as that’s just too obvious a choice nowadays. For the ‘wow’ factor, I would pick the Jaguar one, and my wife has a pair of boots to match.
Truth be told, the Scotch-Mini would be the most appropriate choice for me, considering my previous office life.
How about you? Which would be your pick?
If I had (an opportunity) to DD one, I’d take Evergreen Mini: whimsical, but not distracting in ordinary traffic. I’ve still never been in a “real” Mini, I would love to drive one someday…
Cute, all of them .
I’d prolly pick a solid color with a white roof .

Fall is my favorite season, so I’ll pick the Army Mini. Looks like a fall leaves decoupage like we did in grade school art class.
BTW, what is brochure year?
The pictured cars are early MK3 with concealed door hinges and wind up windows, but still with 10 inch wheels and chrome hub caps.
They are left hand drive with driver’s side door mirror, so I’d guess mid 1970s.
Dad’s 1961 Austin 850 was a dramatic replacement for our 1949 Star Chief, with rusted floorboards.
I’ll choose a flat light grey Mini, just like our ’61. Best of all were the extremes: tiny 10-inch wheels, a huge bus-sized steering wheel, and a 2-foot long “magic wand” shifter.
The single “cyclops” gauge was in the center (accommodating both left & right hand drive), and the starter button was a large silver-dollar sized affair, on the floor.
A hanging cord in the side doors was pulled, in order to emerge from the inside. Front passenger windows slid forward & back, while a hinge allowed rear windows to pop open one inch.
In the British Motors showroom, the Austin was positioned next to a Rolls.
The placard said “Austin 850: $850”
Definitely the Evergreen one. I assume they weren’t seriously offering these?
Has to be the 747 Mini, given my career in aerospace. I manager parts that went onto those Jumbos.
My first three choices, but not pictured
1-A plain RED one
2 plain White one
3-a plain BLUE one
As you can probably tell by my color choices,I`m a big fan of The original 1969 Italian Job, not the lousy remake.
Out of those choices Id pick the red kilt. Although if I had been checking the option boxes back in the day . . .
Id have a damn hard time choosing between British racing green on the body with a very slight creamy white on the roof(like so subtle you wouldnt notice it was an off white at first)
Or just go silver. But only if Austin offered something stunning like GM’s “cortez silver” Aka the same silver paint they put on the C2 Corvette
Mini Jet 747 for me. Love it.
Red with a white roof. Good enough for Paddy Hopkirk to win the Monte Carlo rally.
I like the top three, but narrowed it down to the Scotch and the Army. If I can only have one, I think it’ll be the Scotch. Plaid is awesome!
