I always thought at the intersection of Colonade and Cadillac there would be a beautiful coupe. Buick had the Regal and the Riv why not Cadillac? I wonder if that was ever studied. They didn’t know they were doing the Seville in the early 70s when they planned the Colonades.
There were some 2 door Seville proposals, but I imagine they were concerned about spoiling the Eldorados spot light, plus they already sold a ton of Coupe deVilles too.
This looks like Florida, I wonder where it was taken?
Cape Coral, FL, my fellow Floridian. My parents just moved here in my neighborhood, on Cobalt ct.! About to be single again, my woman hates my Jewish mother. Next time I go down Alligotor Alley to your side of the peninsula I’d be happy to treat us to Shula’s, if you give me a ride in your Caprice.
And Carmine, we can’t forget the Seville Opera Coupe. One of the most outrageous broughams of broughams in history. When I hit the powerball lotto I’ll buy one, or five.
Riverside Subdivision. Fenton, Missouri. All the streets except one are named for ’60s era Chrysler products. The vacant lot where St. Louis North and South Assembly once stood is less than a mile away.
This is about five blocks from my home in Cape Coral, FL. Colonade ct is located in the tony neighborhood of Regal Heights, known for the Century Plaza Park near the famous Monte Carlo Poker Room. El Dorado pkwy is the address of the prestigious Biarritz Polo Club, and the luxury high-rise Seville Towers condominiums.
Some of my smart alec neighbors call Colonade ct. “Colon-aide”, in reference to the high number of elders in the area.
I’ve always thought El Dorado was an odd name for anything after the word became shorthand for “unobtainable” after the 7 cities were never found. Although I do love the cars.
In Ocean Shores WA there are a lot of streets named after GM model names, Bel Air, Impala, Skylark, Fleetwood though there are non car named streets mixed in too.
Good place to do some general motoring.
+1 comment of the day.
(blush)
Cue the epic Buddy Rich quality rimshot.

I can spot a Florida sky in a picture from a mile away.
Let me know!
I would be delighted, plus it gives me an excuse to replace the ancient tires on the Caprice that decided to go all lumpy in the rears last month.
Maybe you’ll find that coupe here…
Who in their right mind would want to live on a street named for a mere Cadillac…..
There’s a street for every budget…..
This may be my favorite intersection ever. And I’m not even a Mopar fan.
Where is this?

As well as The Road to El Dorado: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Road_to_El_Dorado
Perhaps a Colonnade wagon is more your style…
I once dated a girl whose father built a house at the corner of Cadillac and Lincoln.
The intersection should be named Leland Square.

I left my wallet in El Dorado.
