Speaking of Papa’s Soul Kitchen, right across the street is a Eugene Landmark, Sam Bond’s Garage. For decades a popular watering hole and live music institution, there is a remnant of its former life as a working garage sitting on the grassy side of the curb. Can you ID it? Locals who’ve take a closer look are disqualified. (Update; let’s take in a side view, as we have no takers yet)
I don’t guarantee that the wheels are original. For that matter….Anyway; if that doesn’t help, maybe the Gladiator next to it will help.
I could ask a friend who works there, but that would be cheating.
BWT, was there ever a TTAC Sam Bond’s get-together? I’m in Seattle for a week or two but would make the trip from PDX anytime. Any excuse to drink under the trees. 😀
Ready, willing and able! Maybe when the weather’s a bit nicer; it’s been a moist little week.
Yeah, summer nights out back are the best. Could even have a Whitacre walking tour for out of towners. CC’s everywhere you look.
I’m thinking 1930 Ford Model A based on the cowl and the radiator shell, but that doesn’t explain the disk wheels.
19twenty-something Dodge
Well, that kinda leaves Willys Overland.
aaca says it’s a Model A front and hood with an unidentified radiator shell
